doki doki literature club this was my first visual novel i ever read i think. i'm pretty sure i downloaded and read this back in 2017 when i saw it in the free games section of steam, i went in completely blind and i remember enjoying my experience. for some reason on my steam account it says i only have 3.3hours logged but i remember it took me 6 hours to finish it. I binged it all in one night. It's very babbys first vn for the modern day girl. everyone knows what this game is about at this point, soooo spooky scawy game with uuuguuuu kawaii anime girls. made by a melee player and thats kinda funny
liar, liar (1&2) i'm going to be honest i don't remember much about this vn outside of the cute main character. i think she was a yandere or something im not even sure. i think it was 2018 or 2019 when i read this it did not take me very long at all, maybe i will replay it again but probably not. i remember i enjoyed it but i dont know if i would enjoy it the same today
saya no uta my first jp visual novel that i completed, i enjoyed this much more than the previous two (or three i guess) i 100% completed this in a few days. as my first eroge i was extremely cautious while playing because i did not know when the H scenes were going to come up and i rarely ever have headphones on (i have an unusually large head for my size.. and i wear glasses so i get headaches) i still enjoyed the story. the visuals were also really good, i like the whole meat world. although it is a horror and people love to talk about how disturbing this is i was not really scared or disturbed but it just takes alot for me to get disturbed i think. it was very addictive and i was wishing for more when it ended. my favourite ending was the humanity wins ending surprisingly. even tho i enjoyed this vn a lot i do think it is a tad overrated. saya is very kyuuutee~☆ so it was worth the read!
nekopara ~catboys paradise~ tiny little vn i also finished in one go! i didn't bother to 100% this because i did not particularly care for any of the boys minus dill. i don't really have much to say about this one really. i wish it had catboy Sex.
snow the most recent vn i've read on this list as i am typing this right now. i'm not done with it but i have completed Asahi's route! i really enjoyed her story, i know she can be seen as quite annoying but i personally think that in comparison to Sumino she is definitely the better of the two (i love green haired girls.) i wish that the dialogue between her and Kanata was kinder, at times i would be thinking.. "Damn… Kanata is rude as hell" and i wanted him to shut up a little. i felt like their romance could have been developed more, especially before the H scene, which by the way came out of nowhere.. the choices were i believe between patting her head and hugging her. hugging her reveals Kanata has a boner for some reason. glad i played that early morning while no one else was awake. i'm currently reading Sumino's route and i'm excited to fully 100% the game in the future i shall return when i do. in the meantime i will continue Higurashi.
kimi to kanojo to kanojo no koi i have not got true end yet but i have finished three of the other routes (i think.) i really enjoy this one and i really need to actually finish it. i need to start reading everyday i would actually finish visual novels. i went into this thinking miyuki would be my best girl but i really love aoi, my retarded princess. if i wasnt so terrified of the h scenes popping up randomly i think i would've finished every vn i'm reading. okay good segway.. the h scenes in this arent to my memory at random like with snow, i knew they were coming up. there was one that almost started but like stopped and i felt a little cockblocked like um okayyyyy.... i like aoi and mc's (does he have a name i dont remember) relationship, i think its cute how obsessed aoi is with him and he puts up with her whole vidya game is irl thing. miyuki and aoi's friendship is sweet too i like them as friends tbh. i will add more when i actually get true end.
SaDisticBlooD content warning rape this was SO unbelievably disappointing. i finally 100%d it and it was WORK. to start off, there is too many repetative rape scenes, even when one of the characters Shizuha asks for two other guys to have sex with her they still describe it as rape. Yuna is really cute but her motivations make no sense, she is shown to be in love with Shizuha in one ending thinking of her is the only thing that gets her through being brutally raped but then if you continue the game and dont get that ending she straight up gets a man to rape Shizuha. im not even a prude or anything i knew there was rape in this vn but GOD its so repetitive and boring. the most heartwarming ending was a mistress and her minion and i think that was my favourite. the twist is somewhat interesting i didnt expect it and it gave the story some more substance. the other like 10 endings tho wow, just a let down idk. im just not the target audience because i dont have a tentacle rape fetish and thats fine i guess. i just enjoy more story with eroges, i like to feel like i have earned the h scenes/theyre progressing the story in some way. i am just happy its over and it wasnt that long.
